BANANA GIRL

Cara decided that she didn't like eating bites of banana off her plate but preferred to takes bites off a whole banana!! She didn't really want to "hold" the banana either! She let Mommy hold it as she tooks bites! Some of the bites gave her lots to chew!

Cara's Birthday

We celebrated Cara's birthday. Here is Oscar and Cara playing with her "old" toys before the party started. Cara is sitting in her new rocking chair and hugging her new Raggedy Ann doll. Vince and Charlotte and Dillon (her cousins) were at the party but I did not get a picture of them.

Let's Count!

While his Mommy and Daddy were busy on Saturday Oscar came over to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa. And Cara came over for a visit. Cara and Oscar discovered Grandma's basket of candy but removed the candy one by one from the basket. But didn't try to eat it!

Day at the Zoo

On Friday Oscar spent the day with Grandma and so Grandma and Ashleigh took him to the zoo. He wanted to explore on his own but soon turned around to get back in his stroller. The zoo was very crowded but we managed to the the giraffes, lions and elephants. And those are the White Rhinos in the background of one picture! We saw the sharks that you can pet but wasn't sure if he was ready for that! Maybe when we goes with his brother they can try that!

Fathers Day

On Father's Day we had a family cookout and swim party at Michael and Lisa's. Here is Grandpa having fun swimming with his grandchildren. I don't know where Dillon is at but apparently out of camera range! Cara and Oscar are enjoying the water with the "floaties"! Vincent wanted to show Grandpa that he can put his face under water! He has been taking swimming lessons.

Ninja Turtles

Vincent called me today and asked if "Grandma could make him a Ninja Turtle mask", I asked him what did they look like and he told me I could find a picture on the computer. So of course I told him I would make him and Charlotte one. And then I couldn't make just two they needed some for their friends too. But I do not have all of the friends wearing theirs maybe he can send me a picture of all of the new Ninja Turtles! Vincent walked around saying "these are masks awesome!"

Explorer

When Cara was over last week she decided to explore and made it to the steps and climbed up against the bottom step. She was intreged by the car and never tried to climb any further (yet)!

Ballerina Charlotte

Charlotte is in her ballerina outfit watching her DVD on how to be a ballerina. Vincent is sitting next to his "tiny" Spiderman (you can see one in the picture).

Concert

Emily invited us to attend an outdoor concert at Scott's school. Cara is either holding her hat on or covering her ears? Charlotte and Vincent sat on a blanket listening to the choirs sing and the bands play.

Pre K Graduation

Vincent and his class had Pre-K Graduation on Friday. Here he is receiving his diploma and his celebration dinner at Applebee's.

"Go Fish"

Dillon had a play at school called "Go Fish" here is a picture of him as a crab. Other sutdends were sharks, cowboys, starfish. lobsters. And Oscar had fun seeing all of the costumes.

Oscar's First Birthday

We also celebrated Oscar's first birthday! In the top picture he is sitting in his new rocking chair. In the next picture he is having a discussion with cousins Vincent and Cara. And then it was cake time, he wasn't quite sure what to do when a lit candle was placed in front of him and kept reaching for the candle but big brother helped him blow it out. It didn't take too much encouragement to get him to "eat" it. Not quite sure how much he ate verses how much he "wore". But after a quick trip to the bathtub he was huggable again!

Easter

All of the grandchildren came over today for their Easter basket from Grandpa and Grandma. Here are some of the pictures of today's activities.

Dr Suess

Last week at Dillon's school they had a Dr Suess play. Daisy-Head Mayzie. Dillon played "the detective". It was a very cute play by all of the students in his first grade class.

A weekend with the Grandchildren

Last weekend we went to Vincent's basketball game, the took Vincent and Charlotte shopping, on Sunday we went to Dillon's basketball game. But I did not get pictures of Oscar and Cara who were also there for Dillon's final tournament game. But here are some of our weekend highlights. Charlotte helped Grandma bake cookies by adding her favorite sprinkles. Vincent was anxious to put his Lego set together!
